Rain, Rainstorms, before the storm, after, during, close, far etc however you caught the moment.
Hi everyone, I’ve been wanting to make some paintings centered on the theme of rain and before looking at some photo groups I know online, I wanted to ask all my subscribers to submit their favorite pics of “rain” to my album on facebook.

Spring Poetry18″ x 24″ Plein Air Pastel, May 7th 05
I asked for a flower, and God gave me a tree.I asked for a bouquet and God gave me Spring. As a child I asked for Love and God gave me a Mother.
Happy Mother’s Day!
This piece is absolutely one of my favorite pastel works from a few years ago and will stay in my collection.I’ll never forget how warm and windy the day was. As I stood with my easel in the grass and my children sat on the lawn next to me with their pastels and sketch paper. Together we drew this gorgeous flowering crab apple tree on Mother’s Day.
While I was drawing I asked my son to run inside and grab a pencil and scrap piece of paper as the poem formed in my mind.
To all the Mother’s I know,I celebrate you today for your incredible love of your children.
All the best today and always,

I’m happy to share this with you.My brother in law Dan Grantham is having a sculpture show at the Holden Arboretum. The opening is Friday April 4th,Here is one image of the invitationand you can read more about it on the website.Free artist reception from 6 – 10pm, Friday, April 4
A Whisper of His Nature features works in wood and stone by Cleveland artist Daniel Grantham. Grantham’s work has been shown throughout Ohio and collected internationally. “I seek to utilize my gifts to glorify God by creating work that celebrates His creation – which is the real art” Grantham says. “While spending time on the grounds at The Holden Arboretum, a sense of the sheer magnitude of His creation was apparent to me,” he said.
“This show is based on my impressions of Holden, ranging from striking groupings of swaying cattails to the complexities of color found in a Monarch butterfly caterpillar.” Grantham uses multiple artistic tools to help the viewer, as well as himself, understand the art in creation.
The artist will discuss his work at [ ... ]

I hope you Popped the Champagne!! and Cheered to a Beautiful New Year!
It’s a 08′ and I want to let you know change is in the air!I am closing my store http://NaturalAbstracts.etsy.com to open a new store with my name on etsy when all the paintings sell!
To kick things off in my new store, if you see something you like, from Natural Abstracts send me a convo/email and I will create a special reserved listing just for you …..over ( in my new store)…. for you to purchase and checkout .
With EVERY purchase I will include ONE art card of your choice: Redeemable for $10 off your next purchase, a Free Pendant, Free shipping, or a Free ACEO.
ps I did beg with etsy to allow me to change my store name in order to keep all my beautiful hearts, and wonderful feedback from my buyers but it’s not in the cards. Their programming doesn’t allow store owners to change their store’s name.
?Why am I moving? Only because I want to use my name for the store so I can grow as an artist.
I will be stocking my new store with new paintings soon. You can peek here,
