This time tomorrow 49 boxes of art will be on their way to the North Carolina for the art-o-mat®.
Puzzle No. C0863 pieces of a Winter Sunset Painting in oil.
I would like to thank SweetWolf, a seller on etsy who kindly sent me a dozen or more empty cigarette boxes for this project.I upcycled them by spray painting the boxes gold and a black stencil of my initials RG on the backs.
There are 39 single boxed pendants and 10 surprise boxes that have two interlocking puzzle pieces.Kinda like the old Best Friends Forever necklaces.
This time I only kept a few. One for me, one single and one double for sale through my estore.
One to keep and One to Give,(see more pictures and purchase) they will be shipped together in the recycled gold box with two mini copies of the original painting and silver plated 18inch necklaces included.

Here is C08 Winter Sunsetbrand new jigsaw puzzle painting.63 pieces8.5 in x 11 inin oil plein air
I have already rung them into pendants, signed and sealed.( will post more pictures soon)Just have to get my boxes ready and some printing of the mini’s I include with each piece.This time too instead of the white craft boxes I’m altering used cig boxes.
Good news for those who asked I am going to be offering two or more pieces that fit together.One to get- one to give, kinda like the friendship pendants.They will be sent in to the art o mat fairly shortly as well as having some available for direct sale.
I have two more paintings that I have been working on and I’m very refreshed by the second one. You’ll see why.

These pendants come from original jigsaw puzzle paintingsA07 and B07 8.5” x 11”, painted from my love of Black-eyed Susan’s in oil and a beautiful Fall day plein air.
Every puzzle piece is signed and sealed, ooak and actual size varies approx. 1 1/2″ x 2″ – 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″.
Each piece is numbered for you to easily find which puzzle it belongs too. Stop by my website to see larger pictures of the original painting, try to find where your piece fits, solve the mixed up pieces online and leave a comment.
These come from my accepted submission into the Art o Mat.
The artomat has taken old cigarette vending machines and refurbished them into vending original pieces of art in boxes that are the same size as cig packs.They are across the country and around the world.

I’m happy to let you know my puzzle pendants have been accepted into the ArtO mat.Here are a few pictures of the completed puzzles.Each piece has since been signed and numbered loosely on the back completed with a jump ring for wearing on a necklace.
These two partial pics are clickable and will take you to jigzone where you can actually try to put the puzzles together, change the cut OR click the auto solve and see the scattered pieces come together to complete the paintings.

As some may remember and for my new readers.Last year about this time I submitted a 2 painting 53 piece jigsaw puzzle to the Art O Mat you can see them by clicking here.
(The artomat is a really great project, the inventors have taken old cigarette machines and refurbished them into vending unique pieces art around the country and internationally.)
All of my puzzle pieces have been sold. It has take me some time deciding what I wanted to make next. I knew I wanted to do another puzzle, but wasn’t sure how I wanted to go forward.
Well I’m happy to say I have two new jigsaw puzzle paintings finished and will be posting them sometime next week.
Each painting is 8.5″ x 11″ composed of 63 pieces for a total of 126 that I have made into pendants.I sent in my prototypes yesterday and either way am very happy with how this project has come out so far.
Here are two sneak peeks.
What’s been fun too is that Monday I sent out three paintings on Monday. One to Washington State and the other two were mailed to Cyprus.

I love it when surprises come in the mail!!
I got my first golden green ticket from the art o mat today.See my art o mat submission here53 pieces 2 paintings the official plein air puzzle.
It’s so cool it tells me where my puzzle pieces have gone so far and that my supply inventory is running low .

Here is a very special photo of Laura Gentry – The Mighty eggplant creator for the Art o Mat. She has made over 700 of the little gems.She sent me my lil eggplant with the surprise inscription just for me “Drunk on Nature” that now overlooks me at my desk.But what a surprise for her to send me this picture of her holding my little painting “Sun Path” I sent her as a thank you Neato to see my art in someone’s hands.
We make art and set it free through giving, selling or trading, it’s not often we see the person we give it too, with it.
Laura is a going to be on the Official Oprah Winfrey show this Wednesday, April 11. The producers decided to do a short, pretaped segment about laughter yoga for a show about happiness. They were interested in how she is bringing laughter yoga to her church I can’t wait to see it, watch it if you can.

I am so happy to share my eggplant I just received from Laura Gentry!! especially made for me with the text “Drunk on Nature“.She couldn’t have made a better one for me. Laura understands me and my art better than some people close to me. I am so thankful to have met her.

I found that my link is up on the artomatartist page.Super cool since I have wanted to be a part of this for a very long time.I made a great friend Laura Gentry that I met on myspace who has produced hundreds of interactive eggplants for the Art*o* Mat, the owners then send in photo’s of themselves with their little eggplants. Laura is going to be sending one especially made for me, I can’t wait, Thank you Laura;) here’s her blog http://strayeggplant.blogspot.com/many thanks to her I’m going to be making another piece (s) of artwork for the art*O*mat and am stirring ideas now.

I am happy to share with you that my Plein Air Puzzle has been accepted into the Art O Mat .
It took somewhat of a leap of faith completing the puzzle and then submitting the prototype.When this process should have been done in reverse .
My dear subscribers you know something the buyers won’t.In order for the puzzle block owners to know what the finished pieces look like they will have to come here to see where their block fits and the finished paintings.Now I’m looking forward to the fun of them checking and will be posting updates as soon as I know where the blocks will travel to.
I am going to be finishing the acetate wraps and info sheets for the blocks and sending them to Artists In Cellophane early next week.
This project has spurred some more puzzle ideas and I will keep you updated with the new works as they come.
My sunset triptych is on hold as the weather hasn’t cooperated with constant cold drizzle and overcast skies the past few days.
Am going out today to capture this foggy, muted, rainy Autumn Day.

I am very happy to present these two Original 53 piece Plein Air Puzzle Paintings created especially for the Art*O*Mat Project from a total of 53 wood blocks that make up two paintings for sale now through a cigarette vending machine that have been converted to vend art.Painted in oil, each block measures the same size as a cigarette box – 2 1/8″ by 3 3/8″, and each block is coded and signed.
I painted the first painting horizontal completely plein air from my flowering Rose of Sharon, and what’s funny is my two year old knocked over the blocks after the first painting was done but right before I coded them. It truly was a challenge putting them back together while the second was created from some photo reference as well as onsite studies during my Black-eyed Susan series.I am looking forward to finding out where these pieces go.
