Artist supports children’s charity ——————————————————————————–by Don Jovich Reporter Northfield – One local artist is doing her part to support a cause helping children with serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions. Rebecca Grantham, a Northfield artist and mother of five children, is offering her artwork, available on eBay, and donating proceeds to the non-profit organization, Hole in the Wall Camp. “I am a member of a grass-roots movement created by eBay artists called ‘Bids-4-Kids,’ said Grantham. “More than 500 eBay artists (http://art.ebay.com) have joined together to donate anywhere from 10 percent to 100 percent of the sales of their artwork to Paul Newman’s ‘Hole in the Wall Camp,’ with the proceeds benefiting sick children across the country with art programs and supplies.” Now until July 25, Grantham, along with more than 500 artists from around the country, is participating in a benefit for the Hole in the Wall Camp art programs. During the Bids-4-Kids benefit, each time a participating artists sells a piece of art, proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Hole in the Wall Camp art programs. “It is my hope that these kids can find comfort and express their struggles and joys of their childhood through making art,” said Grantham.
