.SoldSometimes the best things in life are free.
Flowers picked by a child’s hand, shushed whispers, running water and bursting smiles as they hand you a handful of treasures picked from your yard.
This piece is fresh off the easel.
It measures 5″ x 7″ and is painted in oil with brushes and palette knives on 1/4″ primed panel.
Thick and textural painted under a spring sun from my little yard bouquet given to me from my special little ones.
I can remember doing the same thing when I was little for my mom.
I know this is early but Happy Mother’s Day!!!
All paintings are shipped via USPS priority mail.

The first in a series of Daffodil paintings I’m beginning. This piece is fresh off the easel, and available now through my etsy store
It measures 5″ x 7″ and is painted with oils on 1/4″ primed panel.
The sky was painted from a cloudy, windy day outdoors.
The Daffodils are from a photo I took. It is signed on the back.
There is something so warm and special about spring when the Daffodils bloom. Nature begins to open her arms and we all welcome the wonderful blooms of color.
Although I did have fun with all the wintery colors this year especially with the pieces Walking & Serenity.
I am glad for the beautiful weather we’re having and the changes in subject and palette. I don’t think I could live without the change of seasons.
All the best,Rebecca

I’m sure you’ve heard how important that phrase is in real estate. It is much the same in art.
Where you display your work is important online and offline.and that’s one thing I strongly learned about where not to market my work.I love fairs, craft fairs, festivals, meeting people, chatting etc even though I’m a bit shy.
There are 3 local Juried Fine Art Fairs this summer that I’m going to go visit and I am definitely going to apply to next winter.
I had a good time at the spring fling, it was a beautiful day. Here’s a small painting from the day.it’s 8 x 10 plein air, oil and I’m going to title it Location just to remind myself.
I did get to meet Local Cleveland Legend Dick Goddard, here’s the autograph I got
It was fun:) When I said my name was Rebecca he said ahh Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farms, lol I get that sometimes. So he wrote Rebecca Sunshine, I like that.
I wish you all Sunshine! All the best,Rebecca“Make it Beautiful”

Here is my bumper sticker idea.I know every time I’m at a red light I read the bumper stickers on the car in front of me so why not use all that red light time for a little free advertising! Will it make a difference? Will people write it down and visit my site? Would you? It’s a good first design and I would love to hear your thoughts on how I can make it better before I order
All the best,RebeccaMake it a beautiful week.

If you live in the Northeast I’m sure you’ll understand “Where is Spring?”We’ve had record breaking snowfalls and record breaking heat. Well on one day We’ve had inches of snow so far for April and had an 80 degree day in the past month. Our Cleveland Indians had to temporarily move to a Milwaukee Stadium. But I digress… if you’re around here you get it.
So I’m happy to announce on Saturday come rain, snow, sunshine I hope to be a part of the Spring Fling in Euclid, Oh. Displaying some artful originals and goodies with Gallery 222 and Art on Wheels. I unfortunately won’t meet Therese who I’ve talked too a few times now, she’s in wonderful Italy We’ll meet another time.
I’m bringing my easel and paints to stretch my wings painting on site and hopefully will meet the Local Weather Legend Dick Goddard who’s whimsical forecasts are always entertaining and gentle mannered.
If the weather agrees come and visit the Spring Fling.Saturday April 21st from 11:00 – 3:00 at Sims Park.
All the best,Rebecca

Here is a very special photo of Laura Gentry – The Mighty eggplant creator for the Art o Mat. She has made over 700 of the little gems. She sent me my lil eggplant with the surprise inscription just for me “Drunk on Nature” that now overlooks me at my desk. But what a surprise for her to send me this picture of her holding my little painting “Sun Path” I sent her as a thank you Neato to see my art in someone’s hands.
We make art and set it free through giving, selling or trading, it’s not often we see the person we give it too, with it.
Laura is a going to be on the Official Oprah Winfrey show this Wednesday, April 11. The producers decided to do a short, pretaped segment about laughter yoga for a show about happiness. They were interested in how she is bringing laughter yoga to her church I can’t wait to see it, watch it if you can.
More about her art swaps.
The art o mat also made it on tv last month on the Rachel Ray show. You can watch the segement on google video by clicking [ ... ]

You wouldn’t know it now but this little gem was covered in over a dozen tiny bugs.
Which is going to prompt me to write a companion to my short plein air guide, titled The Official Guide to Debugging your Plein Air Paintings !:)but that’s for another day.
Here isChanges8″ x 10″ oil on canvas.
This was a wonderful day with soft billowing clouds. As I painted intermittently due to chasing our kids and juggling dinner, the day had slipped very far from the original inspiration but I was so happy to be greeted with the sunset to the West as I was painting North.
The colors changed so quickly that I did not have time to start a new piece and decided to go forward with this one and let those changes appear here.
