I’m happy to share this with you.My brother in law Dan Grantham is having a sculpture show at the Holden Arboretum.The opening is Friday April 4th,Here is one image of the invitationand you can read more about it on the website.Free artist reception from 6 – 10pm, Friday, April 4
A Whisper of His Nature features works in wood and stone by Cleveland artist Daniel Grantham. Grantham’s work has been shown throughout Ohio and collected internationally. “I seek to utilize my gifts to glorify God by creating work that celebrates His creation – which is the real art” Grantham says. “While spending time on the grounds at The Holden Arboretum, a sense of the sheer magnitude of His creation was apparent to me,” he said.
“This show is based on my impressions of Holden, ranging from striking groupings of swaying cattails to the complexities of color found in a Monarch butterfly caterpillar.” Grantham uses multiple artistic tools to help the viewer, as well as himself, understand the art in creation.

Here is C08 Winter Sunsetbrand new jigsaw puzzle painting.63 pieces8.5 in x 11 inin oil plein air
I have already rung them into pendants, signed and sealed.( will post more pictures soon)Just have to get my boxes ready and some printing of the mini’s I include with each piece.This time too instead of the white craft boxes I’m altering used cig boxes.
Good news for those who asked I am going to be offering two or more pieces that fit together.One to get- one to give, kinda like the friendship pendants.They will be sent in to the art o mat fairly shortly as well as having some available for direct sale.
I have two more paintings that I have been working on and I’m very refreshed by the second one. You’ll see why.

Here’s a picture I took yesterday of the beautiful blue shadows from the trees.I love it, it’s a natural abstract. We got record breaking snowfall.
Finally thanks to my son I got a picture of me outside in the snow.Yup I’m wearing my favorite jacket from Dad when he was in the Navy.You can still make out USS Nautilus on the back
And here is a teaser from my new jigsaw puzzle painting.I have it almost done.I’m finishing the images and pendant rings.This time I’ll be offering some pieces that fit together.
I will be posting a couple more winter paintings later too.They are soft, high key, snowstorm works and much harder to paint then when you’re blasted by colors everywhere.Seeing color in snow.

Here is a new winter painting.eyes to see No. 3In the Quiet available
In the quiet of a Winter storm the busy landscape is muffled by the falling snow. There is so much to be heard if only we will listen.
