On TV, The Art O Mat, Laura Gentry and more!

Here is a very special photo of Laura Gentry – The Mighty eggplant creator for the Art o Mat. She has made over 700 of the little gems.
She sent me my lil eggplant with the surprise inscription just for me “Drunk on Nature” that now overlooks me at my desk.
But what a surprise for her to send me this picture of her holding my little painting “Sun Path” I sent her as a thank you :)
Neato to see my art in someone’s hands.

We make art and set it free through giving, selling or trading, it’s not often we see the person we give it too, with it.

Laura is a going to be on the Official Oprah Winfrey show this Wednesday, April 11. The producers decided to do a short, pretaped segment about laughter yoga for a show about happiness. They were interested in how she is bringing laughter yoga to her church :)
I can’t wait to see it, watch it if you can.

Laura Gentry with SunPath Painting More about her art swaps.

The art o mat also made it on tv last month on the Rachel Ray show.
You can watch the segement on google video by clicking here.

“Art” can’t be explained but we know it when we see it.

Making Stuff:
I love sharing whatever I make, My giving often keeps pace with my selling. On etsy they have a wonderful thing going called pif’s Pay it forward. A seller picks an item and lists it for no sale price, giving it away to whomever wants it with the hope of the buyer paying it forward. They receive something and give something to someone else with no expectations. I listed one of my little pendants as a pif yesterday, the buyer pays nothing. I’m shipping it today:) Which got me thinking ..
” with my art…. I would give it all away if I could!”

For the month of April I will be giving away a free pendant with the purchase of any original painting available through my etsy store Natural Abstracts, or by contacting me.

Make it Beautiful,
Rebecca
